Mike Conway

Please join me in congratulating Mike Conway on his promotion to ESSA Commercialisation Manager, in succession to James McMullen, effective 1st of April.  

Mike joined Pepsico 9 years ago and worked in various role in Commercialization NA for Quaker Oats, Gatorade and Tropicana. As an Accolade expert, Mike moved to the Pepsi Lipton JV to support the Portfolio Management team 1.5 years ago. During that time, Mike created the innovation database and reporting tool, supporting project reporting and prioritization. He built CoP with Regional Innovation Champions and actively cooperated with Global and Regional Finance teams on various portfolio management tools. Most recently, Mike finalized the sustainability tool creation which will allow us close monitoring on SR and circular pack agenda delivery.

Mike will transition to his new role gradually until the end of May. Please join me to wish Mike good luck in new role and welcome him in the new team. 

Shah Isfendyar

We are very pleased to announce that after 7 years in the JV, Shah Isfendyar has been appointed Engineering Innovation Director for the Transformational Productivity Group (TPG), reporting to Phil Taylor, VP Central Technical Services Europe.

In 2012, Shah joined the Pepsi-Lipton Joint Venture (PLI), in AMENA before transferring to PLI, ESSA 2,5 years ago. During his tenure in the PLI, Shah has had a tremendous impact on the business. Shah has led major future proofing and clean label initiatives, including conversion of McDonald’s recipes to sugar reduced and conversion of Benelux Sparkling preserved PET to Aseptic. He has spearheaded network optimisation, consistently delivered on productivity targets and facilitated commercialisation of major innovation projects e.g. T Futures, Sirena roll-outs, sugar reduction across key ESSA markets and Pure Leaf launches. Shah has also championed talent development; opening up new opportunities for members of the Supply Chain team and strengthening resources in the Co-packing, SC finance and Planning functions. Shah also led the winning Tea Ventures project for 2018 with ‘Tea 4 De Masses’.

Shah will start his new role on 1st of March.

Flora Csakvari

Please join me in congratulating Flora Csakvari on her promotion to Global Brand Manager, Pure Leaf, effective 1 Jan.


Flora was most recently Assistant Brand Manager, Lipton ESSA team. She played a lead role on Tfuture design relaunch last year,  delivering an impressive 1200+ individual artworks on time and in full.

Most recently she kicked off the TFuture Green, Matcha Y2 artwork and Sparkling relaunch for BNLX. She was also a key organizer of the Lisbon ESSA conference.


Prior to the JV, Flora honed her customer facing skills as Boots (Biggest drugstore chain in UK) Customer Replenishment Specialist for Unilever UK and was also Assistant Brand Manager involved in the launch of Monster Energy drinks back home in Hungary.

Outside work, Flora is a big fan of travelling and recently enjoyed NZ and Mauritius. She is also a lover of all things in beauty and cosmetics, actively seeking out new products and launch events so she can get her hands on the latest greatest innovations. 

Hany Nassib

Here’s to welcoming Hany Nassib to our winning blends – he joins us as senior Marketing Manager  MENA starting March ‘2018.

He succeeds Amr Sharara, who after two years in PLI, has now gone back to the Unilever hot tea business in MENA.


Hany has 18 years of Marketing experience in dynamic Multinational FMCG Companies with a strong knowledge of Middle East and Africa Market. 

He joined PepsiCo in 2009 and had held multiple assignments in the Marketing function. During his tenure he achieved high share record on 7up and Mountain Dew in Saudi Arabia and Has led MENA FOBO CSD agenda to develop successful programs.  On Innovation front Hany setup/ commercialized Baked Lays strategy in middle east and Africa, introduced  flavours line extensions including 7up Squeeze, Mirinda Battle of Flavours achieving incremental volume and revenue growth.


He lives with his family in Dubai and in his free time he loves  practicing sports, running , swimming and playing Tennis


With his passion for crafting mixes and deep understanding of the Middle East consumers, Hany is all set to lead the challenging and exciting task of seeding the ice tea category in the Middle East .

Kasper Pesonen

Please join us in welcoming Kasper Pesonen who has started in the role of Assistant Brand Manager in the ESSA Marketing team.

Kasper is originally from Finland and is a true world citizen, he has lived in Germany, the Netherlands, Singapore, and the Czech Republic.

He learned his marketing skills at Adidas and Unilever and we are happy that he will bring this experience into the JV.


Faraaz Ansari joins us as Brand manager LIT for India region replacing Sushant Dayal who has successfully moved back into the PepsiCo system as a CDM in modern trade team.

Faraaz has almost 6 years of experience at PepsiCo India on brands like Quaker Dairy and Tropicana Slice in his previous role.  He joined PepsiCo as a management trainee, post his MBA from Delhi University, and completed stints across sales, trade marketing,

Faraaz’s wife, Rahila, is a software engineer and they reside in Gurgaon. He’s an avid science fiction reader and big Liverpool FC fan !
